3:39 PM...............................................................................

oh hi.

Its May 23. Not that far away from 5th of June.

I went for NUS tea session on Sat.

The people in NUS seem alright. In fact, i made a friend. She's called Grace and she's from acjc. She wanted to go into nus accountancy but she got into biz instead.

Anyway, i was talking to the accountancy/finance professor, India guy, who seems alright but a little young (to be a professor).

I was asking him about the accountancy course and whether its accredited and all. (note: cause nus's accountancy course is not accredited as of yet) and he seemed quite taken aback by the question.

He said that he wouldn't worry that the course is not accredited if he was me. He added that this is NUS that you are attending. Not any other school. He also said that if the course is not accredited by the time i've graduated, then "we'll be in trouble won't we?" and that "you guys can write to the PM cause another election will be round the corner then"

Then later, when answering another prospective student's question, he said: We would not have introduced the course if its not accredited. No one will come
...

Also, i met the Dean of the Business school, a ang moh, who didn't quite impress me.

And i went for a tour at Shears Hall.
There's a tour for of the each halls. One to Kent Ridge and the other to Shears.
Can't decide which one to tour, so we (fel and i) asked a student what so different between the two halls.
The student said: one is hip, one is more unhip.
Fel then turned to me and said: So YingShi, Shears right?
Right.
Felicia knows me too well.

At the end of the day, i've gathered a few things

1. NTU says at its tea session that its business school is ranked above NUS's. That's true, but what they are ranking is their MBA course, and not the BBA.

2. NUS accountancy course is not accredited and may never be accredited. Which is dangerous. Can't expect me to believe that it'll be accredited just because its NUS.

3.NUS's course is more theoretical and NTU's more practical. Internship is compulsory at NTU unlike NUS. I believe in practicality.
( NUS has internship programmes and i found out that its started/initiated by my colleague and his group of friends back in his school days )

4. NUS has better students. Bell shaped curve=harder to get honors.

5. Even with the accounting course, you'll graduate with a BBA degree. I find this very odd....

6. In either school, i can go from accounting to biz and from biz to accounting. Very flexible

(i'll be lying through my teeth if i say my job is not slack)

So what the hell.
You know what. In the end, i'm ok with both routes.
I figure that since i can't stick to one solid choice for more than 5 days, that means i don't mind both schools.

right?
