I've got a piece of fruitcake with me.
It's yellow. With apricot, kiwi and strawberry sitting on a layer of nuts and cream and cake.
It's from the new boss. And I've noticed something thanks to her.
When people enter a new environment, they do 3 things
1. Smile alot
2. Get to know the others
3. Give stuff to the others, where stuff can be anything, but its usually edible.
No 3 gives you a chance to interact with "the others" you see. Cause the reciever will usually ask..."what's the occasion?" "oh, where did you get this?" and of course, there will be alot of " Thank you-S-"
And people will think that you're nice.
Note: I'm not saying that my new boss is not nice. She is nice. And its not because of the cake. And i'm not being sarcastic either.
And i've learnt, as the receiver, its best not to say 'no' when the person is carrying out task no 3. Don't ask me why. It's EQ.
Just mark my words my observe.
My colleagues gave me a farewell lunch yesterday.
And they gave me a pen from Prints too. You know...the stationary shop at citylink. The same place i bought my 23 bucks file.
If a file costs 23 bucks there. I wouldn't wanna know how much a refillable German made pen costs.
Haiya. My half eaten cake is sitting on my CPU. Can't finish.
Zz. Observing people is fun.
And i got a strong feeling i'll hate accounting. Great.
Anyway, i've realized that people tend to think i'm not thinking or i don't have views of my own.
I'm talking bout people like sarah ee and my old boss, in case you're wondering
Why ah? Is it my face?
If i don't voice out my views means i got no voice???
What's the point of letting others know what you're thinking all the time? People will know you too well.
Actually, i rather people not know me and underestimate me. Then they can't pre empt me.
Yah, i'm just saying.
I'm not scheming.
If i am, i would be blogging about this...
But sharon also once mentioned that a person must be somewhat something to claim that he is not something. Say, i say i'm not scheming. That means i must be scheming in someway to say that i'm not scheming.
But i'm NOT scheming. Honest. Or rather, i'm not honest. :X
