I need help with this question...Can help?

Should the country club administrator conduct descriptive research or causal research?

Question:
ii. A country club administrator needs to obtain two pieces of information (how members feel about an increase of $20 in membership fee and whether there is a need to expand the fitness centre) for a board meeting to be held three days later.

Descriptive research involves trying to find the extent of relationship between two factors. It provides a complete picture of the area researched and it also defines the problem, people surveyed and method of analysis before data collection begins.

Causal research determines the extent to which the change in one factor affects the other. It seeks to find the cause and effect relation between factors. This goal is accomplished through experiments and test markets
