I can't help but marvel at the beauty of the Olympics.
The celebration of diversity and the spirit of mankind.
I've always enjoyed the Parade of Athletes. You know, the kind of pride you see on the flag bearer's face isn't something you can fake.
All this makes me feel like"there's hope for mankind, we do love each other! We live in a beautiful world!"
And then you hear news about Russian tanks going to war with Georgia, car bombs in Iraq and uprising unrest in Burma.
We humans are ironic creatures aren't we.
World peace. Is it really that elusive?
One world...is it really only a dream?
Bad choice of word.
But from it does add a "dream-like" quality to the games from the marketing point of view.
