11:27 AM...............................................................................
Hi girls and guys
I know. I've not been blogging lately.
Been down with the a bad sorethroat and slight fever for the past one week
I'm feeling better liao
But my voice has yet to return. I hope it does. Otherwise some people will think I can't sing :P

I've been trying to bid for my econs minor.
Hai.
Bad. I need four more mods and seems like I've only got sufficient points for two.
I'll probably appeal for the mods and see if the school allocates them to me.
If I do not get the mods, I'll graduate and work.
WORK.
For real.
I'll a working adult. It'll be the start of my working life.
Gosh. *please allow me 1 min for that to sink in*

k. Back.
Hmm. yah.
You know. Some things just don't change. Like how and-you-ass admin is still messed up.
Before bidding, I contacted C ORS helpdesk to ask when I can start bidding for my open minor.
The lady across the phone said she wasn't sure and she had to call me back to check.
She did so without asking for my name. She checked. Return my call. Hang up. Checked again and called me.
She probably went to the national library, did a few years of research and told me that I could start bidding in round 1c
I was a little skeptical of how reliable the infor was, so I asked her to send me an email.
She did just that.

Then came round 1c. I logged into C ORS but I could not bid.
So i sent an appeal through the system. The appeal result: You can only start bidding in round 2A.
Ah hur. So the lady at the C ORS helpdesk made a mistake. Alright...

Yesterday was the start of round 2A. I logged into the system and still wasn't able to bid.
So I sent an appeal through the system and emailed C ORS helpdesk once again.
The appeal result said (quote): If there is no modules avalable, it means that the quota is full.

And i naively believed this was the case for erm....1 min. And I thought, this cannot be right! I couldn't bid for any of the modules! Unless the quota for all modules in and-you-ass are full, I should be able to bid. Furthermore, the bidding report for round 2A tells me that my econs mods are available for bidding.
So I sent in an appeal and emailed C ORS helpdeak once more explaining the above.

The appeal result said the following (quote):Please try again. If you still can't see anything, please check with C ORS.

Which I did. I called the C ORS helpdesk; the same place I sent an email in earlier.
The (same) lady over the phone told me that I have to redeclare my minor in order to bid. Managed to bid after redeclaring my minor. *Praise God*

However, the drama did not end there. Later in the afternoon, I got a reply for C ORS helpdesk saying this (quote) "According to the C ORS useful info for modules available for lecture bidding report (Round 2A), all the modules mentioned below are only open to Art students. Please file for an appeal via CORS after all the bidding rounds are over."

If the above is correct, I would have NOT been able to bid. But I was bidding then already. Hmm. This effectively means, the C ORS helpdesk is wrong again!

Dear Lord.
Someone ought to do something about and-you-ass admin. Imagine how difficult things could have been if I was a lonely and lost freshman.
I will write a feedback after the bidding closes. Probably the only thing I can do to help my poor juniors.
